The song was later remixed by artists Wamdue and DJ Valentine and became a international dance hit, reaching No.1 on the USA Dance Billboard Charts.

EVOLVER IS NO 1 ONLINE IN SA & ‘ARE WE LISTENING?' THE BRAND NEW SINGLE

South Africa’s largest online store, wantitall.co.za, confirmed that top rock band Evolver’s current album “What’s The Story” is their Number 1 selling product over the last 6 months. Today EVOLVER proudly announces the release of their first single "Are We Listening?" off the upcoming CD "Evolution" due out in September.

The band has been hard at work in the studio finishing up the final touches of their new electric effort. The new single is a track that has been under construction over the last few months, and has a "Big Sound" that translates well on the dance floor. Over the last few studio sessions, Evolver decided to release "Are We Listening?" as the first single for a few reasons. According to Sean Murphy, (keyboards/vocals) " It has a great radio sound, with enough movement to reach the masses on the dance floor. We have been writing and creating some extensions of our music that are sure to excite our listeners and extend our boundaries".

"The new single is born from the question “are we listening in a world full of talkers?” says lead singer Peter Pote. “We need to learn to listen and understand, then talk to be understood. Knowledge speaks but wisdom listens” adds Pote. Evolver is planning to release the single this Friday, 31st July at the "New Single Release Party" at Rustic Theatre in Lonehill. The show will kickoff, what is sure to be, an exciting new chapter in Evolver's catalogue of radio hits. The band will be handing out free copies of this single to those who attend this show.

For those unable to attend, if you pre order their new album “Evolution” on www.wantitall.co.za, no matter where you live in South Africa, you can stand a chance of winning your very own Evolver House Party, where the band will perform in your living room with your choice of friends. Kendra Smit, the winner of the most recent Evolver/Millers house party had this to say “The adrenalin and the anticipation of their arrival almost got the better of me, and I almost fainted when they finally arrived! The atmosphere and the band were unbelievable and it was a once in a lifetime experience! I still can’t believe it was for real. They are so down to earth and made me feel on top of the world. They felt like old friends in my lounge, and will be missed.”

Evolver has additional surprises planned for the new CD being released in September, to stay updated, keep your eyes glued onto www.evolver.co.za

NEW YORK MUSIC PROMOTER SIGNS WITH LOCAL ROCK ACT EVOLVER

Evolver announces the recent acquisition of their new Manager and Promoter, Doug Davenport, hailing from New York City in the USA. After hearing Evolver during a recent holiday to South Africa in 2008, Doug began the process of negotiating with the band to sign as their exclusive Manager and Promoter. Davenport identified Evolver as an undiscovered International Hit and, in several public speeches, has called them, “The most talented Rock Band in South Africa".

His arrival in South Africa and attending the Music Exchange Conference in Cape Town in March of this year, confirmed his professional interest in Evolver. He and the band decided to formalize their agreement after some closed door meetings following the Conference.

Doug has worked with well known International Acts such as mega band U2, The Killers, The Cult, JET, The Strokes, The Enemy and many others. He has decided to expand his horizons by coming to South Africa for what he says will be “An International explosion of investment in SA" following the 2010 World Cup. Having been a successful music promoter in America for many years, Doug has promoted large Music Festivals and rock acts such as The Amnesty International Concerts, The U.S. Download Festivals, Central Park NYC Music Festivals, NYC Pier Concerts, just to name a few. With extensive involvement in Venue Promotion in America, Doug also owns a large Club Promotion business in NYC.

“Dougie Dee (as he is known to the band) is a breath of fresh air and an inspiration to be around, he is positive and passionate in everything he does, him being part of the Evolver machine has not only poured petrol on the fire in the band, but sprinkled a bit of napalm in the mix. Watch out people, Evolver is ready to explode!” says Peter Pote, Evolver’s front man.

"Seeing Evolver on the big stage at Coke Fest 2009 was proof of their "Big Sound" and only solidified my feeling that they could compete in the International arena. Their ability to excite the 20,000 fans was impressive on any level", adds Davenport.

Doug's decision to spend more time in South Africa has been an exciting catalyst, and his wealth of experience is sure to bring the American passion and spirit to Evolver's evolution.
